What size dumpster do I need?
Dumpster sizes are measured in CUBIC YARDS. For example, a LARGE BOX measuring 36″ x 36″ holds the volume of one cubic yard. So a 10 yard dumpster holds the contents of 10 large boxes. Here is a guide to help you choose the right dumpster size for your project:
10-Yard Dumpster
Best For:
- Small home clean-outs
- Minor renovation projects
- Garage or basement clean-outs
- Small yard cleanups
Details: This size is perfect for small-scale projects and tight spaces. It can hold about 4 pickup truck loads of debris.
15-Yard Dumpster
Best For:
- Small to medium home renovation projects
- Small kitchen or bathroom remodels
- Medium-sized basement or garage clean-outs
- Moderate yard cleanups
Details: This size is great for projects that produce a moderate amount of debris, providing more capacity than the 10-yard dumpster but still fitting in relatively tight spaces. It can hold about 6 pickup truck loads of waste.
20-Yard Dumpster
Best For:
- Medium-sized home renovation projects
- Large basement, attic, or garage clean-outs
- Deck removals (around 300-400 sq. ft.)
Details: Ideal for larger clean-outs and mid-sized renovation projects, this dumpster can accommodate around 8 pickup truck loads of waste.
Choosing the right dumpster size depends on the scope of your project and the volume of waste you expect to generate. If you’re unsure which size you need, we’re available to help you make the best choice.
Are there any guidelines I need to follow?
These guidelines include weight limits, prohibited items, and proper loading. Following these instructions helps maintain safety and compliance throughout your rental period.
Dumpster location
- Dumpsters are usually placed on solid, flat surfaces. They should not be stored on uneven ground or soft soil, or in a spot that poses a threat to underground utilities or septic tanks
- Our vehicles must be able to access the dumpster easily for drop-off and pick-up

- Once we place the dumpster in the area you specified, it MUST remain there. This is a safety issue. Do NOT move the dumpster
